I had my beautiful baby boy in December..and he is 8 months already (!!!) so it's time to get this weight off.   I am heavier than I have been in a long long time...not all the baby weight is off..and it's time I put time and effort into losing this weight!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I joined WW and am ready to really dive into this. SORRY!! It's been a madhouse around here. As you know I'm going through IVF to try to become pregnant..and I'm through it all. Wish I would of documented it through the journal....but I didn't...dang it! I think it's because if it wasn't successful it would hurt to much to read about it later.  Anyhow I'm through the process and let me tell you...the last 2 weeks waiting to find out if it was positive was the WORST!  I go in tomm to get my results...however...................&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been taking at home pg tests...and I'm excited to report I have a very positive line!!!  I can't believe it. I'm anxious to get the official results tomm, then the waiting begins to see the heartbeat at 6 weeks. They say to be catiously optimistic until you see the heartbeat. I think another 2 weeks of waiting will kill me! :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If this works it's a miracle, truly a miracle...with us only being able to give it one shot as it's expensive and insurance doesn't cover it...it just amazes me with a  37% chance of success and it may of worked for us? Well due to more snow and ice I didn't make it to weigh in the other day.  However the scale and tight pants (Ha) are down from the weekend! :)  With the husband eating healthier it has made dinner and at home MUCH easier!!  We have given up all "white" products and eating brown rice and whole wheat pasta!! We eat that several times a week and to replace those items is a biggie. He's learning to like them and am super excited!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Money is tight the next couple months cause of the IVF so am trying to be frugal in what I buy at the store. I am a convience person -- I work long hours and am very tired at the end of the day and not much time in the morning to prepare meals.  To plan lunches and pack them sometimes at night is a chore cause I'm just exhausted.  (some of this is due to my MS I think) But I'm finding that since we are trying to plan more ahead of time and keep only healthy things in the house and I'm not buying all those quick and easy items (100 cal packs and granola bars ect) I'm eating better.   Instead of 100 cal pack -- I have a green pepper w/ 100 calorie dip (I do spulrge on that as portioning out my salad dressing is a must for me!) or a cucumber w/ dip.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We spent ALOT at the store last week  but some where items that will last weeks, and produce plus some meats should be all we need this week.  I'm trying not to stop at the store midweek and only buy what we need on the weekend grocery trip. I'm tired today, I know it's a result of some bad eating yesterday. We went to a Superbowl Party last night and I had some snacks, and more snacks! I can feel my pants a little tight today....so know it's the result of that junk food I ate last night!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This weekend wasn't bad, but wasn't good either (see last night above).  We ate out Saturday night for dinner and even though I had tuna as an appetizer and a small steak for dinner and just a couple bites of potatoes and salad -- I ate too much of the bread. My weakness I have discovered is that yummy warm crunchy goodness of the bread!!  Next time no bread!!! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Went grocery shopping this week and spent double what we normally do, loaded up on veggies and fruit -- planned out our week and are set! We did not however account for lunches on the weekend!! I need to be sure to do that for next weekend as it left us to graze on healthy snacks rather than a meal....and think it caused actually MORE calories than sitting down to a meal. Lesson learned!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will face the scale tomm and admit to a lackluster eating weekend but a good plan for the week ahead! I'm so thrilled again it's Friday -- that means sleeping in, funny that's what I get excited about..ha ha. I can stay up late and sleep in! :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week I've really been trying to dig into why I overeat. Really question - WHY? And you know what? I have the HARDEST time figuring it out!!  I don't know why. No clue! Is this why I'm not successful in losing weight? Maybe a piece of the puzzle? Why IS FOOD SO IMPORTANT to me? If I overeat or eat something I shouldn't have I question the why's and it's strange I have no idea...none! Odd...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow I have been pretty good this week with the exception of having some candy on Wednesday!! We are going to start planning our meals more -- well dinner anyhow -- I already do my breakfast and lunch.  Since the husband is committed to changes this will help as the night time has been the challenge for me lately...and with him on board it should be easier to change that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I made Hamburger Stoganoff last night and it was soooo good!!  It came out to be 8 points per serving w/ a  serving of whole wheat noodles. Also had a side of veggies.  I don't have nutrition info (it's at home) but should be easy to figure out if you want to!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hamburger Stroganoff&lt;br /&gt;serves 4&lt;br /&gt;1 lb lean ground beef&lt;br /&gt;1/2 onion chopped (I used a generous amt of onion flakes)&lt;br /&gt;Sliced mushrooms (I left this out, but some like them! Don't remember how many)&lt;br /&gt;1/2 cup beef stock&lt;br /&gt;2 Tablespoons tomato paste&lt;br /&gt;1 Tablespoon flour&lt;br /&gt;1 Cup Lite Sour cream&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Brown ground beef, onions and mushrooms. Drain fat and sprinkle beef w/flour and mix together. Add beef stock and tomato paste.  Continue to cookover low heat until thick (or until noodles or rice are done!).  Take off heat and add sour cream. Serve over noodles or rice!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well my goal is to stay on track for the weekend and with the husband on board should be easier to tackle. I'm back! Man on man lots going on around here lately. Sorry haven't posted. Diet front...eeeeh not that great. But back on it this week, haven't weighed in since last time due to tons of crapola going on. Anyhow -- back to my menus this week!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My husband has an issue that is requiring surgery and has him really wanting to eat better as well. He also has high blood pressure and is wanting to begin to eat better to help control that.  I'm thrilled I have a partner now in this!! Yahhooo!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also we are about to begin the processed called IVF, so yes trying to have a baby!! The percentages that this will be successful is pretty low but am optimistic and hopefully. It is VERY expensive and our insurance does NOT cover this so we are only able to try this one time. I'm in the beginning stages and had my blood drawn yesterday and Monday going for my first appointment.  Either way the outcome is I'll be ok -- my life is good now, so if it doesn't include any children of my own that is ok, I have my 2 stepdaughters! :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ALSO big drum roll! I quit smoking, yes I was a smoker!! It is now into week 3 of not smoking and I have to say I am just fine. WOO HOO! Although you know what happened? After that I started eating bad??!! Why do I do this??????????????????????????? It makes me question my sanity!! Why do I sabbotage a good weigh in?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My mom and I always go out to eat after weigh in and I don't count points, well that leads to bad eating...as it was all down hill from there. Maybe this is some sort of trigger for me? Well I'm back at it today -- so still have 4.5 days to go and if I am back on track I'll have 4.5 days of good eating that will show up on the scale w/ good results!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So here's today:&lt;br /&gt;B: BFast sandwich&lt;br /&gt;L: Lean Cuisine&lt;br /&gt;S: Peppers w/ lite ranch, cherry tomatoes&lt;br /&gt;Apple&lt;br /&gt;D: Not sure yet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It was -10 actual temp this morning...brrrr!! It's so cold. I was all bundled up this am in bed..nice and toasty so to get out of bed was a bit of a chore!! I show I'm down on my scale at home so well see what the official scale says tonight. I've been doing really well and am proud of myself!! I've really been sticking to my plan and feel great.  Yeah!!!!!!!  It's been crazy at work so not much time to write -- sorry -- here's todays plan:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;B: Oatmeal 3&lt;br /&gt;L: 1/2 Bun&lt;br /&gt;Sloppy Joe&lt;br /&gt;Mac n Cheese (all leftovers)&lt;br /&gt;S: 1 serving baked chips&lt;br /&gt;peppers w/ lite ranch&lt;br /&gt;D: Eat out after meeting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I haven't calculated points on the above but it was all small portions.  Just no time to do points today. Tomm is a new week and want to try to plan ahead point wise ahead of time rather than the day of. I plan ahead of time what to get at the store so need to do the same in planning my day! I'm SO ready for the weekend!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are going to a Japanese Steakhouse this weekend and it's sooo yummy. I am going to try to limit my eats and stick w/ chicken! That darn rice is what gets me!! So eating will be light thru the day Saturday to help compensate for the large dinner. So -- have 47.4 pounds to lose this year. That is my goal!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week I'm focusing on staying within my points and planning!! Exercise is important but this week focus on getting veggies/fruits in and being in my point range.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I always think what is different this time, what will make me succeed? Well I'm determined and ready to start feeling better and taking care of myself. I MUST do this for my health and to live a happy long life! I went grocery shopping and picked up some preportioned chip packs as I need something salty as a snack. -- BUT now I realize I should of picked up pretzels instead -- but bought it so you will see chips in my snacks this week! :) Lunches I'm going to be prob having Lean Cuisines this week to focus more on healthy snacks and not worrying about fixing a lunch as well as healthy snacks. Breakfast I bought some breakfast sandwiches and think I need to focus on getting a less point breakfast to have more points thru my day. So will maybe try oatmeal next week? According to my home scale it's back up again. I'm rejoining WW tonight -- am sure it will be PACKED with all the new people...but that is a-ok w/ me. Gosh it's been crazy lately w/ work and home so haven't been able to post.  I wasn't able to go to WW this week as I had a work dinner meeting. I hopped on the scale at home and it was down a smidge. I did well until we recevied some cookies here at work and well I had a few! Ugggh! They are about gone now...so thankful for that. Luckily we only receive maybe 2 goodie baskets from vendors and that's it as far as treats in the office this holiday season....whew!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow -- I've been trying to keep up the inspiration from reading all the blogs/journals out there...and it is helping me.  It's been soooo stressful lately and instead of throwing myself into food I try to focus on work and being consumed by that instead of food. It has been working!! Strange as the afternoons used to be the worst time for me for snacking and now it's the mornings......as by afternoon I'm so swamped I can't see straight and food is NOT on my mind.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm excited to go to WW and get some of the new materials on the new program. It's always fun to change it up a bit...I'm looking forward to it!! WOW!  Last night I was wanting to munch so I decided to do my Christmas cards. That helped ALOT to get my mind off food, however the baked chips I still had, but portioned into a bowl and I was satisfied. Wasn't as bad as I had expected so that was a nice suprise. I bought a new journal, a WW magazine and ready to go. One day at a time. That's how I'm going to look at this. Just one day!! My mom has decided to take a break thru the holidays and just try to maintain...but I don't want to do that...I want to lose. So that is my goal!! However I didn't let that detour the rest of my day -- and stayed on track!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm heading back to WW tonight -- feel guilty as I have been going and just not following the plan and not losing, then losing....then not....drop out for a couple weeks and then back again. It's time I recommit!! So going tonight and facing the music and buying a brand spanking new journal too! Ok! I had a great 4 days off -- food wise not good, but life wise - AWESOME! Just feel I had time to relax and also get alot done around the house...and put up our tree! Woo hoo!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also was thinking this weekend it seems my life revolves around food and dieting. Constantly I seem to be thinking about what I am going to eat/am eating, feeling guilty/feeling good all about food. I seemed to talk to my sister about getting back on track and getting some exercise for the billionth time and was kinda of getting sick of hearing myself talk about it. Does this happen to any of you? I'm so sick and tired of thinking about food, and just want to eat right and exercise..just DO it and not have to THINK about it all the time! Time to get back at it for the week.....it was NOT my regular weekend at all. We spend most of the weekend out of the house and at a hotel one night downtown...but enjoyed myself VERY MUCH. I'm sure there will be some damage on the scale Tuesday cause of this, but I enjoyed myself and didn't stuff myself at any time this weekend....but there was alot of drinking one night......&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SO I  developed my plan for the week and hit the grocery yesterday! I'm going to try and eat "clean" as much as I did last week. I do have some snacks (like Cheezits below) I had bought previously I want to use up...so you'll see a little of that in there. I also will be counting points this week just to see how that goes, I did really well w/ tracking my food last week and want to see how adding points into the mix does for me this week! Yesterday was good again -- am so thrilled this is working for me, I did get on the scale and it was down a bit!!  But of course it's not official until next week which will help keep me motivated this weekend. This past week was an eye opener for me, I realized that before I wasn't taking the time to plan and really think "healthy" but rather how many points of junk can I cram into my day!  So am going to take some time this weekend to plan next week and stick to alot of the clean eating things I did this week.  I'd like to add back in counting points however, I'm nervous cause I then tend to focus on points rather than healthy....so will work on that!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow going to see Twilight tonight...woo hoo! This has been the longest week ever!! I'm so tired today again -- as I went to bed to late last night. I was catching up on my DVR'd shows, Biggest Loser, Top Model, John and Kate Plus 8 -- my guilty pleasures! :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow a good day yesterday again, I found myself hungry for dinner but not starving so it was a perfect balance of food yesterday! However -- on a side note this am?? I didn't realize I didn't have enough hard boiled eggs this am for breakfast for us....grrrrr. What did I do? Well I went to McD's -- and however my choice of a Egg McMuffin was good...it wasn't a "clean" choice. Oh well....at least it was not bad point/calorie wise!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last night we had tuna steaks instead of the salmon planned as the husband couldn't find any good salmon at the store. Well I DO NOT like seafood so wasn't super excited about dinner. Well it actually was not bad!! I can't believe it, it wasn't fishy at all was more like pork in texture to me!! ( I don't like the texture in seafood) So will be having it again and of course the husband was thrilled as he loves seafood of any kind! Then last night I joked about picking me up a Diet Coke when he ran to the gas station -- well be brought me back a small fountain drink and said he's been very proud of me not having my massive amounts of Diet Coke this week -- it was such a treat and I savored it all night!! Normally that sucker would of been gone in 30 minutes! However I was sadly disapointed w/ a gain of 1 pound at WW last night...uggggh! Oh well -- I just started back "on plan" Monday so no worries...will see good results next week!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are doing this "clean eating" for a week. I put clean eating in quote there as it varies in defentition for everyone. I have to tell you it's been a eye opener just in how much we really eat junk! We had planned on doing this Monday-Friday only as Saturday we are spending the night downtown and enjoying a meal out. My goal in this week was to how easy it would be to eat "clean" and help the husband really take notice on what he was eating, which it has and me too!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We talked last night about we really want to incorporate alot of the "clean" eating into our normal daily lives -- mainly focusing on breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks and keeping those "clean". Dinner we really don't eat much in the way of processed foods so that really isn't our problem....portions however diff story. Anyhow it's been interesting so far now in day 3.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's todays eats!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;B: 2 hard boiled eggs, 1oz sausage&lt;br /&gt;S: Pita w/ hummus&lt;br /&gt;L: Whole wheat tortilla, turkey and slice LF cheese&lt;br /&gt;Celery w/ natural PB&lt;br /&gt;S: Orange, and nuts&lt;br /&gt;D: Tuna steak, sweet potato, salad&lt;br /&gt;S: 1 slice LF cheese&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I do notice I have a tough time w/ veggies I just don't like them!! It felt good to be back on track. Oh also I have a HUGE Diet Coke addiction -- I mean HUGE!! So this week am cutting back, I get my fountain one in the morning on the way to work...and that's it for me for the day. This is big for me cause I would consume a 2 Liter + more the rest of the day. I noticed last night I had a slight headache but it wasn't bad. I didn't really fall off the wagon -- just got sidetracked!!! SO didn't write down or count points....but didn't really go overboard or crazy w/ anything either. So got on the scale this am and was the same. I'm officially weighing in tomm night so will "officially" report then!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So this week is officially Clean Eating week in our household! We gotthis magazine in the mail called Clean Eating -- I must of signed up for a freebie! Well it inspired us to try it for a week, that was all I could get the husband to commit to, so I'll take it! I'm needing something different than the same ol same ol stuff -- so this is a refreshing change. I'm working this week on portions and eating more natural -- sometimes when I get so focused on points/calories it's time consuming and so detailed that if I mess up I feel I blew it for the week even though it was just a day! So taking this week to try this...see how we do and reevaluate it for next week. It was interesting planning and shopping this weekend. I'll post my food each day...I have Mon-Fri planned out. My husband has already called me at 10am this morning saying he was starving!!! He was laughing too -- he's got a good attitude (so far anyhow!).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm excited to see how this week goes, also VERY excited to see the husband participating...he doesn't need to lose but about 10-20 pounds (I think he's fine but he said he needs to lose!) but more importantly to me is his health. My goal is to stay w/in points -- I'm not going to be on track w/ my fruits - veggies and dairy like I should -- yet anyways. I did well yesterday -- and had an attack of the night munchies hence the baked chips!  I ate good portions at dinner over at the sister in laws last night...I was quite proud! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I do WW on plan -- I always seem to be at 31-32 points a day.  Any less than that I feel SOOOO hungry. I'm only supposed to have 28 per day -- I know that's what flex is for...but I'd rather save them to have maybe one day where I can splurge a little. Does anyone else feel that way? I know exercise would put me down to my in point range..but I doubt I'd exercise every day to earn 3-4 points daily. Let's just say it was not good AT ALL.   Do you every get tired of hearing yourself say ok this time I'm going to do it -- it's a new week and I'm going to do great! One of the things about keeping a blog is I always fall off - hop back on - fall off --- blah blah blah and it keeps track of that - in writing! I feel horrible sometimes about continuing to write cause I do this time and time again! But I tell myself..that is life..that is what alot of people go through right?  So anyways -- I faced the music and am back to stay! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ok so I have 25 pounds to hit my first goal. That is all I'm going to be focusing on. (still have about 30 to go after that) BUT 25 is my goal for now. I do have a big hurdle this weekend -- my dad is coming into town and we usually eat out for dinner when he's in town. Thurs-Sunday -- I'm going to plan to cook Friday night but Thursday and Saturday night we will def be eating out.  I'm going to suggest Applebees for Thursday and can stick to their WW menu. Saturday we are going to a steak place.....and can do a small steak w/ veggies and baked potato and stay w/in decent points. It was a whirlwind of a day and even though I had my lunches and snacks planned I went a little overboard on my servings. I knew it would be a crazy couple days and so didn't make my lunches and snacks just brought it all to my office to store in the fridge. BIG MISTAKE I can not be trusted with a big tupperware of chicken salad and a package of cheese!! Ugggh! Oh well. Plus my husband made brownies last night so had to sample! I had one and cut up the rest to store in the freezer so they wouldn't tempt me, so that was a plus!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is the big camping weekend so looking forward to getting some exercise and being outside all weekend. I WILL watch my food intake and try to track my food by sending "tweets" to myself w/ my phone...so will update on Monday my food log. Knowing I have to do that will make me feel accountable this weekend and not go hog wild! I was a little nervous about camping as it's supposed to be cold but yesterday I just started getting really excited and am SO ready to get away for the weekend!! Here's my plan:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;small&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Breakfasts: Dlight Breakfast Sandwiches&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;small&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Lunches: Chicken salad &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;small&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Snacks: dry cereal, light cheese, berries, V8 (my attempt at bringing veggies into my life! ha)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;small&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Since really I was shopping for today, tomm and Monday there isn't much there. But my key is to get good lunches and snacks. I'm going to try and make some healthy dinners next week so am going to get a couple recipes together today and go to the grocery Sunday night or Monday night. Plus use those as leftovers for lunches next week too! This weekend the food is all set -- I have a list for that too. The food that is going to be made this weekend isn't to bad so if I watch my portions I'll be set. Just have to watch it w/ all those snacks everyone is going to be bringing! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;small&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;Key for my is easy and quick. When I don't have time I need a standby to be able to grab when out for lunch -- the McD's Southwest salad is my go to, I need to try Roni's version. Breakfasts? I want something hot...and good. I don't have time to make eggs in the am...I absolutely love the DLight Breakfast sandwiches...LOVE them. They satisfy me usually until midmorning where a light snack is all that I need...sometimes it lasts until lunch time. I have tried making my own w/ not so great success however my husband liked them!! I need to try to make them again...I think I can lower the points. However the turkey sausage that is on them i can't find one I like to duplicate them at home...I'm adding that to my list to try again this coming week. They are expensive at the store and also if I can lower the points and have it not be so "processed" that is a good thing!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/small&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;small&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;I'm really trying to make this work for me. I think key to success is finding how to tailor the plan to your needs/life. We had alot of fun and am so glad I made the trip up to spend the weekend with her. It's a 7 1/2 hour drive so to head up after work on a Friday and come home Sunday night is a pretty big drive just for a weekend. But it's an easy drive and I bought a couple books on cd and just enjoyed the quiet time by myself.  So looking forward to doing this more often as I had so much fun and didn't mind the drive at all.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However on the food front, I failed...failed miserably at the attempt to eat heathy. For some reason when I'm with my sister we just are BAD with one another. Food is a focus, we both admit it -- and know it's a problem.  So next time I swear to do better, I swear! :)  Also it's Wisconsin so there's cheese, lots of cheese...yummy cheese! So had lots of that..and brought some home too. Also meat and brats brought home too! I bought a huge box of frozen hamburgers, they are sooo good and last time I calculated points they were only 4 points for the burger..it's lean and on the small side....but they are from a butchers shop and yummy! I use them to whip up quick dinners and also for lunch on the weekend, I feel like I get a little indulgence when I have one and w/ a low cal bun it's reasonable points!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Despite the being "bad" this weekend I am motivated and feel determined to get on the wagon and stay there!  I miss feeling good in my skin and also want to do this for my health.   So started logging my food for today and I'll post todays eats on tomm blog! Sooooooooo glad!  I am super busy today and am leaving work early to drive 7 hours to see my sister so no time to post today. I did good yesterday until my husband said -- let's go to DQ last night after dinner. What you say you can make good choices at DQ? You can? HA yes I know you can, but I did not!  Ugggggh!  However one treat will not hinder my weight loss efforts, it's LOTS of treats right??!!  I need to make a point to tell myself that to be successful as sometimes I'm just like oh well I blew it so might as well forget this week..and eat! I'm not doing that this time!!  So back Monday w/ regular posts with my food. WOO!</title><content type='html'>Ok so yesterday was a pretty good day. My stomach has been hurting for the past week -- I don't know why stress, not eating right?? But anyways being on track yesterday really made it feel so much better!! So maybe it was the eating?? I'm just thankful it feels better -- hooray!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel I ate just about the right amount at dinner -- however the points seemed high, but adding it all up I did ok -- just a little over which that's what the weekly points are for!! I am not a big veggie fan at all, so it's hard to get those in. I have some cherry tomatoes for snacks today and need to get a green pepper to add to the mix too. I love salads, green beans and peas.....that's about it as far as veggies go!! Celery is ok too -- as are baby carrots (not cooked!) but those I can tolerate but not a big fan. Well weighed in last night -- no gain but no loss either. I should of known as this week wasn't terribly good, but I thought it wasn't horribly bad either -- but whatever. Good result for a success next week!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hit the grocery and got my eats for this week....and today has been great so far!  I have been logging my food and will post it tomm on here.  I also am going to start logging on the weekend as well, as that is my serious downfall.  I am going to see my sister so prob will be some eating out -- but can make good choices even while eating out right!!?? YES! Christy posted about eating out and making good choices and mentioned me on her video...heeee that was exciting!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://mylifemyjourney.net/"&gt;http://mylifemyjourney.net/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sorry again for the whole link and not a cool click thru thing, I'll figure that out one of these days!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;She mentioned I have some medical issues, and yes I do...I have MS (multiple sclerosis) -- I don't know if I have mentioned it on here before or not (or maybe one of the OLD posts I made private) -- I don't feel like looking right now to check! hee  But I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago -- I was having some issues w/ my leg which turned into barely able to walk, I went to the hospital and they admitted me -- went thru some tests and viola I was diagnosed! I had never had anything wrong w/ me nor ever been to a hospital --- very scary!! My leg got better and today looking at me you would never know. However....my balance is bad, memory horrible (so forgive my if I repeat myself on here! ha) and at times my legs feel "weird" is the best way to describe it! Plus I get tired easily.  Soooo -- for my health I have got to lose weight...there are claims that a better diet can help w/ MS -- lessen your symptoms and also without the weight on me I'm sure I won't tire as easy too.  So what better motivation do I need?? It really makes me upset and mad to know my health depends on it and yet I continue to not do the things I need to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ugggh!  But am trying some new things -- posting, reading blogs and developing some friendships on here to be accountable, planning and attending WW.  So -- this week my goals:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-- Log my food for all 7 days&lt;br /&gt;-- Make good choices while eating out this weekend&lt;br /&gt;-- Plan my meals for week (have wed-fri done, need to do for sat-tues)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Those are my simple goals for this week.  My main one is logging my food all week. Next weeks goals will involve some exercise. I've GOT to start incorporating that in my life. My WW leader is doing a virtual on line boot camp. I tried the link I wrote down but it's not working so have an email into her to find out what it is. I was sorta that way all weekend. What is my deal?? My stomach has been hurting for a few days, I'm stressed, tired, blah and just want to be alone. Ugggh! I need a vacation however I have no days left....sigh. I am going to see my sister this weekend in Wisconsin...so a road trip, which may be just what I need! I'm looking forward to it greatly!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow no food posts today -- I won't be tracking on the weekends, however that lead to overeating...so I may rethink that. Maybe a Monday weekend wrap up or something? We'll see. I know I wasn't the best this week ( I weigh in tomm ) so don't know what the scale will tell. But I'm keepin on keepin on! I also did not get to the grocery this weekend so will be stopping tonight..I have my foods planned so it will just take a quick stop.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Homecoming dance went well for my stepdaughter, she looked beautiful and she had a great time. Oh man what a week!!! My stepdaughter is going to her first dance this weekend, she's a freshman and going to homecoming. I'm excited! We are going out tonight to look for a dress......she is a VERY picky shopper so I'm sure it will take awhile. But I'm excited.....I sure hope we find something tonight rather than run around the day of looking for a dress. She just got asked to go earlier this week...hence the rush! Ok yesterday -- I was HUNGRY today, wow was I ever. I was starving by dinner even w/ eating the beef jerky in the afternoon! I'm kind of mad at myself as my points are high -- but that's what flex is for right?? :) I have GOT to get to the grocery this weekend...I did pick up some fruit on a quick run to the store last night -- but I have no veggies. My husband does most the dinner cooking. He gets home usually 3-4pm every day. I don't get home until about 6:30pm (and I leave before him in the am -- jealous! ha) Plus he LOVES to cook! He has been trying to cook more healthy but sometimes he just doesn't -- like last night. He was making fried chicken strips with a new recipe for the breading...he wanted me taste one that he just finished cooking -- and OMG it tasted like some sort of cleaning product, I said did you put Ajax on this?? HA He said no there is baking powder mixed in with the flour. He said it can't be that bad...he tasted it and immediately spit it out -- then my stepdaughter said oh well I bet if you dip it in ranch it won't be that bad....so next thing I know she's over the sink spitting it out too! HA HA!! I looked at the recipe and it was 1tsp baking power to 1 CUP of flour. Well he used prob 1/2 cup flour and 1/4 cup baking powder! ha So a trip to KFC to get some chicken happend!! We ate our sides we made at home with the chicken!! But a funny story to always remember -- we all were laughing like crazy about this!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One problem I have is I never know what we are going to be having for dinner. I thought about starting my points at dinner -- but I just don't like that...I tried it and it feels odd to me. So I know I can manage by watching portion sizes and we usually have a veggie or/and salad at dinner and those are low points. Normally what he cooks isn't too bad...and I am going to start cooking more dinners to help bring some more healthy meals to the table. So going to work on that. Anyhow am going to be using Roni's table to track my food, I don't promise this every day on here but will try to do often! Thanks Roni for this, it's awesome!! Also she offers it using Twitter too! Which I'm taking advantage of as I can just text my food and I have a log!! I go weigh in tonight!! Usually when I'm super stressed at work -- I eat and want to grab whatever is quick and easy and not worry about being healthy or good for me. I need to come up with a plan on how to tackle that. I do bring my lunch each day -- but sometimes I just have to GET OUT and end up at a drive thru, or no time to think about dinner -- however usually the husband cooks so I don't have to think about it. Well I couldn't go weigh in Tuesday as I had a business dinner to go that night..I totally forgot about it. Then why does NOT weighing in give you a license to eat? Ugggh! I have been stuffing food into my mouth like crazy. Although the husband and I had an unexpected kid free night so we went to my favorite Italian place. Yum!! I ate to much bread..and had to much wine...but it was worth it!!! I was sooo hungry -- so I got 2 hot dogs and some chili cheese fries. What was I thinking??!!!  I ate only 1 hot dog..but did eat the chili cheese fries. I ate slowly and really enjoyed them. Luckily it wasn't a large portion -- so I counted my points and moved on.  I really need to watch getting to hungry or I throw it all to the wind and just want to eat. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I didn't eat anything else the rest of the night...and actually woke up this morning hungry. So I know it wasn't to to bad -- as when I do overeat -- I wake up not hungry AT ALL in the am.  Since I've started counting my points in the evening I can adjust and eat lighter today to make up for the high points at dinner last night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The weekend is coming and I always have a harder time on the weekends!!!  Tonight we have a football game...so know we'll prob eat there.  Saturday think we are going downtown to a museum and eat lunch down there.  Dinner at home.  Sunday we are tackling cleaning our garage so will burn some calories there -- as it's reallllly bad -- and prob dinner at home.  Monday no clue. Meaning my day starts at my dinner time.  So for example -- I would start my day with today, Thursday's dinner...and Friday's breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks...then that's my total for the day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A customer stopped into my work yesterday and he mentioned he was doing WW with his wife...so we got to talking...and he mentioned this idea of starting your day in the evening. I was soooooooo excited, as I used to do that before when I was successful in losing weight!! I had forgotten!!  My husband is the one who does the cooking most times at night..and he is sooo not a planner...so it's near impossible to know what my nightly points will be.  So this is perfect for me!! I can plan my bfast, lunch and snacks after dinner...as I know exactly how many points I have left. Gaining this week really put me in a bad head place.  I got on the scale this am -- and it's down again!!  See I KNEW that gain wasn't "real" on Tuesday night.  So this has helped me start my day with a good attitude. But also upsets me I rely on the scale so much for my "moods" and whether I do "good" or not. Ugggh! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have yoga tonight but have been extremely tired this week and think I might be coming down with something. I sooo wanted to take a nap when I got home from work last night...but had my stepdaughters open house at her school and had to stop by a friends house to say happy bday to her daughter.  But I did come back from all that and got to bed at a decent time finally. I'm sooo glad it's a 3 day weekend!! But back to yoga I'm on the fence about going tonight...depends how I feel by the end of the day. It's the last class..and am glad. I know I was not ms. perfect this week but not 2 pounds worth of bad. I did go out with the girls Saturday night and had a fewwww drinks. I hardly every drink...and it was sugary drinks so maybe that has something to do with it. I had been down all week long then since Sunday it had been up a bit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So going to keep on going -- and hope that it is a good number next week. I do remember from last time -- I'd have a good week, not a good week, good week, not so good week....so maybe that is how my body works? That is why I lose so slowwwwly too.   But am at -2.8 pounds in 3 weeks, so about 1 pound a week loss. I'll take it. :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also need to HIT THE GYM or find exercise classes to do -- that helps keep me accountable and actually go. I am doing a yoga class once a week but I don't like it -- it's too hard. I took it before and it was awesome..but this teacher I don't like...she's to advanced for me. But just read thru them and wow, the things you forget. It really makes me want to be more active on this blog....so will do so!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I used to weigh around 260 - 11 years ago and slowly the weight came off and got down to 180. I felt FANTASTIC! I will never EVER forget that feeling. I am not one who aspires to be the skinny skinny girl..I just want to feel good and healthy. 180 was that for me then....but slowly it came back on over the years...and have been struggling again for 5 years I think it's been. It's time for me to get back to that girl who felt soo great. The one thing that sticks out to me that I did? HIT THE GYM and MOVED!!!! I always ate more than I should ... always....but I always worked out too. That is key for my body. What am I not doing now? Going to the gym!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have got to get back into the routine...so that's my goal for this week. That class just didn't motivate me!! So in the below post my weight loss is since WW.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been doing so well the past 2 weeks, lost 4.8 pounds...well this week hit and was crazy busy and didn't do so well. Today is weigh in -- and also a fresh start to the week. I HATE to get off track as it's so hard to get back in the groove!! Ugggh! I was plugging along..motivated and doing so well. Today I just don't feel that "spark"...I can't lose that feeling...I mean it's only the beginning of week 4!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know I'm very tired, haven't recouped from the weekend...so maybe that is it. We'll see how weigh in goes, from the looks on the scale this morning I don't have high hopes. However I didn't do THAT bad to gain...so that is frustrating too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I need to get back into planning more and packing my lunches ahead of time rather than throwing it together in the am. I have found I eat way less and having less food to choose from is key for me. Also to slow down and enjoy the food...is something I need to keep doing...that makes a BIG difference. I also find myself sometimes on auto pilot...piling food on my plate then eating fast..I catch myself and think -- what am I doing -- no wonder I need to lose weight!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow -- back at it today, although I ate to many wheat crackers this am already. I counted the points, and makes me sick..all those point for crackers -- just think what I COULD of eaten for those points! I've lost 4.5 pounds.  I'm currently attending a weight loss "class" once a week. Pretty good deal as it's $20 for like 9 weeks...they weigh me and then have a class lecture. It's helped me lose 4.5, so not a bad deal!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However -- it's time I take this seriously and get to the grind.  I have been watching my calories. Currently I'm going to be at 1800, and GOT TO get exercise back in my life!!  My leg has been acting up the past month or so -- so haven't been very active. It's MUCH better now and I have no excuses!! I'm going to be joining yoga with my stepdaughter -- that starts in a few weeks. Also need to be hitting the Y for some cardio as well. I tend to go full force or not at all. I need to work on starting slow -- and that is OK!! Something is better than NOTHING!!  Last time I lost weight it was due to mainly the exercise, so need that in my life!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Short Term Goal: weight to lose 14.5 pounds&lt;br /&gt;Mid-Term Goal: weight to lose 33.5 pounds&lt;br /&gt;Total Goal: weight to lose 53.50 pounds (I'm not sure what goal I want to be at but this is a guess)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've got a lot of changes and stresses in my life right now. The one thing I can control is what I stuff into my mouth and how much I move my ass. Not only will those things make me feel better about myself and more healthy...it will help me take control of my life...and do something good for myself. Along this journey I want to discover who I am...and what I want to do with my life.
